CONSENT AGENDA

 

All items listed on the Consent Agenda are considered to be routine or have been previously reviewed by the Town Council, and will be enacted in one motion. There will be no separate discussion of these items unless a Councilmember so requests, in which event the item will be removed from the General Order of Business, and considered in its normal sequence on the Agenda.

D.1 A MOTION TO APPROVE the one (1)-year contract extension for the Purchase of Wastewater Chemicals (1) with JCI Jones Chemicals, Inc. for Sodium Bisulfite 38% Solution at $3.40 per gallon, under the same terms and conditions as the original contract.

 

D.2 A MOTION TO AWARD the bid for Pest Control Services - Town wide to the lowest bidder, Falcon Pest Services, LLC, at their bid price of $19.00 per building, per month and at the on-call service rate of $19.00 per hour, for a two (2)-year period, ending January 31, 2026.

 

D.3 A MOTION TO APPROVE the purchase of Law Enforcement Training Weapons for the Police Department from Extreme Airsoft Inc., in the total amount of $4,080.00.

 

D.4 A MOTION TO APPROVE the waiver of water and sewer utility and interest charges from the 2021-10 to 2023-07 quarterly billing periods, inclusive, for 25 Indian Trail, Account #W-00-3580-00.

F.1 A MOTION TO READ, PASS AND ADOPT as a second reading of "An Ordinance in Amendment of Chapter 731 of the Code of Ordinances of the Town of Narragansett, RI, entitled, '"'Zoning'", as it relates to several text revisions to various sections of the Zoning Ordinance for the purpose of complying with General Assembly mandates enacted in the 2023 legislative session.

 

F.2 A MOTION TO READ, PASS AND ADOPT as a second reading of "An Ordinance in Amendment of Chapter 731 of the Code of Ordinances of the Town of Narragansett, RI, entitled, '"Zoning'", as it relates to several discretionary text revisions to various sections of the Zoning Ordinance for the purpose of adapting to and accommodating General Assembly mandates enacted in the 2023 legislative session.

FIRE DEPARTMENT

 

G.1 A MOTION TO APPROVE the renewal of the three (3)-year service agreement for five (5) LifePak15 defibrillators and two (2) Lucas chest compression systems for the Fire Department from Stryker Medical Inc., in the total amount of $41,307.00, payable in annual installments of $13,769.00 AND to authorize the Town Manager to sign the contract after review by the Town Solicitor.

 

G.2 A MOTION TO APPROVE the purchase of one (1) new 2024 Dodge RAM 5500 4x4 custom built Life Line "Superliner" Type 1-AD, Class 1 rescue vehicle from Specialty Vehicles, Inc. through HGACBuy (Houston-Galveston Area Council) Purchasing Cooperative, in the amount of $352,305.00.

A MOTION TO RETIRE to Executive Session of the Town Council in accordance with RI General Laws §42-46-4 and §42-46-5(a) for the purpose of Litigation pursuant to §42-46-5(a)(2) to discuss and direct the Solicitor on action for the appeal of WC-2022-0382, 25 Peaked Rock Road LLC vs. Erin A. Jacobs in her capacity as Tax Assessor for the Town of Narragansett.
